This Kickstart Your Mindfulness Practice has been designed just for people like you so that you can find more confidence, courage, and clarity to navigate these situations.

Over the next 10 lessons, you're going to: 

  • understand foundational mindfulness principles and their importance;
  • learn mindfulness meditation practices that you can use throughout your day;
  • and develop a mindfulness meditation habit! 

And at the end of this program, you will walk away with:

  • knowledge about what's keeping you stressed, trapped, anxious, overwhelmed, or lost;
  • in-the-moment tools you can use to navigate challenging situations and support your journey; and 
  • a sustainable mindfulness meditation practice that will support you in living a more empowered and liberated life.

The foundation of this program is based on two principles:  Awareness and Tiny Steps.

First, you'll raise your awareness around what's getting in your way of a more empowered and liberated life. 

Second, with each lesson, you'll learn to take one tiny step to break down those barriers.

Each lesson comes with resources or exercises for your reflection and growth, as well as guided meditations that you can practice.   

What will you need to do? 

This program is only as good as the intention and time that you put into it.  So, here's what I ask of you:  Although you can do the program at your own pace, keeping up with the weekly videos and practices will set you up for optimal success.  So, please make a small  commitment of: 

  • about 20 minutes or less each week to watch videos; and 
  • a few minutes every day to practice the meditations and do the worksheets or exercises.

Lesson 1: Training Your Attention on Your Breath

We start Lesson 1 with learning to train our attention on our breath.  You'll also learn 2 exercises to help keep you on track with developing your mindfulness practice.  

Lesson 2: Establishing Your Anchor

In this lesson, we deepen the connection to the breath and learn how to establish the anchor. The anchor is the place where you can rest your attention and, when your mind wanders (which it will) return your attention.  Alternative instructions are given if the breath isn't a good anchor for you. 

Lesson 3: Mindfulness of the Body

In Lesson 3 we dive into Mindfulness of the Body, understanding why the body is our connection to the present moment, the consequences of disconnecting from the body, and how to reconnect. We also cover some tips on addressing pain.  

Lesson 4: Our Storytelling Minds

In Lesson 4, we explore our Storytelling Minds! 

Lesson 5: Difficult Emotions and Finding Equanimity

In Lesson 5 we dive into difficult emotions and finding equanimity.  Break out the note pad - lots of good stuff in here! 

Lesson 6: Compassion is Our True Nature

Welcome to Lesson 6, where we'll explore how compassion is our true nature, what compassion is and is not, the benefits and science of compassion, and how to practice.  

Lesson 7: Self-Compassion is Your Superpower

Discover how and why self-compassion is your greatest power. . . your greatest source of resilience! 

Lesson 8: Diving Deeper into the RAIN Practice

Welcome to Lesson 8, where we'll be returning to the RAIN practice from Week 5 to take a deeper dive. 

Lesson 9: Mindful Movement Meditation

Welcome to Lesson 9, where we bring in some mindful movement.  This is a great avenue for bringing mindfulness into your day more informally.  

Lesson 10: Creating Your Mindful Way of Life

Welcome to your final lesson of this program! In this lesson, we'll review all of our practices and explore how to bring these into your day, informally, to create a more mindful way of life!
